Reviews and Ratings
The Harte and Garter Hotel has an incredible location directly opposite Windsor Castle, which is a huge plus for sightseeing. However, my experience was marred by poor service and the condition of the accommodation. While the breakfast was enjoyable, the overall service was lacking, especially considering I was directed to a different building upon my arrival.
My stay at the Harte & Garter was quite a mix. I loved the stunning views of Windsor Castle, and the location is unmatched for exploring the area. Unfortunately, the room I had was disappointing in terms of comfort and cleanliness, and the service left much to be desired. While I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea, the breakfast situation was not great. Overall, it was a memorable location, but the execution needs significant improvement.
The hotel offers a fantastic location right across from Windsor Castle, which adds to its charm. While some aspects of the stay were enjoyable, like the comfortable room and well-kept cleanliness, the service and dining experience left much to be desired. There were notable service challenges that detracted from the overall visit, and the dining area felt uncomfortable due to temperature issues.
The hotel has a charming historic exterior, ideally situated opposite Windsor Castle, making it an attractive choice for visitors. However, the condition of the interior is quite tired and not well-maintained, and some staff members lack professionalism. Air conditioning issues in the room were particularly disappointing during our stay, while the dining options faced challenges due to restaurant closures. It's a mixed bag overall, with great potential that sadly falls short in several areas.
The hotel has an ideal location right across from Windsor Castle, which is fantastic for sightseeing. However, my experience was marred by issues such as mouldy food served at dinner and a somewhat cramped room that didn't meet my expectations of a deluxe stay. While the dining options had potential, they didn’t quite hit the mark for me.
